Reflected Lies
They told you worth was found in views,
In hearts, in praise, in how they choose.
They sell you peace that fades by night,
And chain your heart to stolen light.
You scroll through lives that seem so bright,
Each frame a mask, each smile too tight.
But what you see is not what’s true,
It’s crafted just to capture you.

They act with pride yet hearts still ache,
They flash their lives, but most is fake.
They call it love, but it deceives,
A crown of thorns beneath the leaves.
The more you watch, the more they sell,
A version of you shaped by hell.
You trade your peace for filtered grace,
And fade behind a borrowed face.
The reflection in the mirror you see,
It steals your truth so quietly.
I see the way it makes you doubt,
The scrolling storms that wear you out.
But you weren’t made for hollow praise,
Or drowning in their fleeting gaze.
You were built to stand and shine,
A child of God by grand design.
The hands that shaped the stars above,
Designed you in relentless love.
No comment ever shaped your soul,
No follower can make you whole.
So turn away from hallow screens,
From false applause and filtered dreams.
Come stand before the king on high,
And break the hold of reflected lies.
